Abstract
Gameful learning through the concept of 3D digital puzzle assembly enhances cognitive solving skills, builds logic & multi-tasking ability. In this manuscript, we present a 3D digital puzzle assembly software named ‘Eye MG Puzzle’ created by us for amplifying anatomical pedagogy, among ophthalmic neophytes. This software is built on ‘Advanced 3D Touch Interface’ and consists of various 3D models such as circle of Willis, cerebral venous system, eyeball with real-time high-resolution TrueColor confocal images, brain, cranial nerves etc., in fine detail in the form of 3D digital puzzles. These models were created in a computer-aided design software called ‘Maya LT’ and the 3D digital tool box was finally created using ‘Unity game engine’ software. This game has a multi-player mode with a scoring system, to make anatomical assembly competitive among peers. The mission of this 3D digital puzzle game is to impart ophthalmic knowledge in a gamified way and also to test their understanding.
