Abstract
Glaucoma is a progressive disease manifesting as retinal ganglion cell damage and accompanying visual field loss. AS-OCT provides for noncontact and rapid in vivo imaging of ocular structures
Aim : To Study the AS-OCT findings in open and close angle glaucoma and its association with clinical features by evaluating the Anterior chamber, Iris, Trabecular iris angle with help of ASOCT in glaucoma patients. Methods: Prospective observational study. The study population included the suspected glaucoma patients with normal or raised IOP who had age ≥18 years, best corrected visual acuity between 20/400 to 20/40, and Peripheral or central loss of vision .
Results: study results showed a positive correlation between the clinical examination findings and the AS- OCT parameters findings in primary open and close angle Glaucoma patients.
Conclusions: AS-OCT for anterior segment imaging, especially the angle anatomy in glaucoma suspects and patients.
