Abstract
To report very rare case of intra orbital isolated fibrolipoma.
23 year male presented to OPD with complaints of downward displacement of eyeball since childhood;non progressive with occasional pain. No history of related ocular trauma. No other history.
Examination shows fullness over right UL with forward downward medial displacement of eyeball; no palpable masses retropulsion positive.RE shows 29mm axial proptosis on hertel’s exophthalmometer. No other significant findings on examination
CT Orbits
27*15 mm well defined intra orbital Lesion in extraconal aspect with indentation over superior rectus and involvement of intraconal fat with protrusion of eyeball ;thickening of muscle belly of superior rectus.
Patient underwent Rt orbitotomy ;excision of mass.HPE was consistent with fibrolipoma
Orbital lipomas/related variants are extremely rare in orbital region .fibrolipomas are benign , there is some evidence of potential for malignant transformation so excision is advised
