Abstract
A 21 year old male, presented with double vision since 8 months, associated with restriction of movement of both eyes. Patient history of trauma 8 months back in a road traffic accident following which he was diagnosed with right frontotemporal contusion with SAH and underwent right frontotemporoparietal decompressive craniotomy with evacuation of contusion and bone flap placement in abdomen.
On examination, patient had 6/6 vision in both eyes with normal color vision. Both pupils were reactive to light and there was no relative afferent pupillary defect. Left eye had 45°esotropia and cover, uncover tests did not show any movement of either eyes to take up fixation. There was restriction of lateral movement of both eyes in primary gaze as well as in other cardinal gazes, associated with nystagmus on adduction of left eye.
Patient underwent both eye medial rectus recession 6mm for cosmetic purpose.
