Abstract

Aim:To compare the efficacy,tolerability n acceptability of olopatadine0.1%,Tacrolimus 0.03% in VKC.Methodology:All patients with signs,s/o VKC Ocular itching,hyperemia,mucus discharge, papillary hypertrophy,gelatinous thickening nd horner-trantas spots who were attendng eyeopd were selected nd included in study.Result:Male preponderance61.5%was found.itching score,redness score,Chemosis score were significantly rduced aftr f.up nd the diff.is significant bwn 2 grup.Whn we compare the mean lid edema scores,watering score nd foreign body sensation score btwn group A nd group B the diff.is insignificant.Both drugs were equally safe and tolerable.Concl: Both olopatadine0.1%OD nd tacrolimus 0.03% daily are effective in reducing sympts nd signs of during 2nd4th wk.Tacrolimus0.03%OD is found to be more effective than Olapatadine0.1% daily in reducing redness and itching scores,however the diff.is not significant for lid edema nd watering score Kwrds: VKC
