Abstract
Headache in children is a bothersome problem for the parents as well. Purpose: to study the role of convergence excess in children complaining of headache without refractive error. Method: The magnitude of convergence of 40 children complaining of headache with refractive error was compared with same number children without refractive error. Results: 10% of children with refractive error and headache had convergence insufficiency in comparison to 76% of children without refractive error and the difference was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: Convergence insufficiency is an important factor in children complaining of head in the absence of any refractive error.
