Abstract
A 7 year old male child was presented to us with inability to follow light or hold objects properly, drowsiness and reduced appetite since 1.5 yrs. On examination, his visual acuity was finger counting close to face both eyes, proptosis, strabismus, wide-set eyes, beaked nose, underdeveloped upper jaw, open mouth was present. The IOP of right and left eyes were 22 and 24 mmHg respectively. The anterior segment findings were found to be normal. Skull and facial dysmorphology noted. IDO examination showed bilateral optic atrophy. Hearing impairment noted.
CBC, KFT, LFT, S. electrolytes, Chest X-Ray PA view, ECG showed normal reports. Clinical diagnosis of Crouzon syndrome was made. Patient was started on E/D Lubrex, Genteal E/gel, vitamin A and antioxidant supplements and advised follow-up. Parents were counselled and Neurology, otorhinolaryngology and orthopaedics opinion was suggested, MRI brain+orbit done.
