Abstract

A 16-year-old presented at our OPD for routine examination. BCVA in both eyes was 6/6. Slit lamp examination of anterior segment was normal. Fundus examination of OD revealed a one disc diameter, almond-shaped hypopigmented patch with pointed edge directed towards the fovea whereas OS fundus was normal. OCT of OD showed subretinal hyporeflective space temporal to fovea. There was localized transmission defect due to probable RPE thinning. Photoreceptors appeared irregularly elongated with intact ELM and remaining inner retinal layers. FFA-early hyperfluorescence which reduced in late phase suggestive of transmission defect. OCT-A-hyporeflective area at site of the lesion with attenuation of flow signal. Central area of the lesion showed localized, fine network of vessels, HFA was within normal limits. OCT, FFA, OCT angiography and HFA of OS was essentially normal.Patient was counselled regarding the complication such as choroidal neovascular membrane and to review after 6 months.
