Abstract

ABSTRACT – This is a case report of two different variants of a rare disease, Iridocorneal Endothelial syndrome in same subject. A 46 years old male patient presented in OPD with complaints of diminution of vision in both eye since more than one year. Slit lamp examination, revealed that bilateral corneal haze with shallow anterior chamber, peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS), corectopia and pseudopolycoria. This case demonstrates an atypical presentation of ICE syndrome. The diagnosis of ICE syndrome was confirmed by UBM gonioscopy and optical coherence tomography (OCT).

ICE syndrome comprises of three clinical presentations– Chandler syndrome, Progressive iris atrophy, Cogan Rees syndrome. In this case, two clinical variants were present bilaterally.

A review of scientific literature shows that two different clinical variants may present in same subject. Here we report an atypical presentation of clinical variants of ICE syndrome.
