Abstract
Purpose: Evaluation of Artificial intelligence for the effective diagnosis of uveitic pathology such as anterior chamber reaction, AS-OCT and fundus changes by training computer software. Method: Systematic search on Pubmed, Google scholar, Scopus and Cochrane review was conducted for studies that were published between the year 2015 and 2021. We followed the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses procedure. The AI based study design was mandatory of study’s inclusion. Results: 30 studies were included in the systematic review. DL algorithm showed high propensity for diagnosing uveitis on comparison with publicly available databases. Conclusion: The findings in our study showed that the AI algorithms had high specificity and sensitivity for diagnosing uveitic reaction. AI based AS-OCT have showed significant correlation with clinical SUN assessment. Thus the future role of AI algorithm looks very promising in Uveitic pathologies and its earliest treatment.
