Abstract
Aim : To report 2 cases of dome shaped maculopathy in patients with Myopia with posterior staphyloma
1)49 year old female with diminution of vision both eye since 6 months, spectacles usage since 15 years. Myopic fundus, altered macula. OCT-SRF, FFA-occult CNVM-late leakage.3 doses intravitreal avastin given but SRF persisted
2)40 year old female with diminution of vision and floaters in both eyes since 1 month. Both eye: Myopic fundus with CRA patches in macula,LE- SRF and advised intravitreal-avastin.OCT-SRF, FFA-CNVM leak.
Both patients provisionally diagnosed-Myopic CNVM with posterior staphyloma and underwent radial OCT which showed dome shaped maculopathy
Patients with SRF in pathological myopia should undergo radial OCT and provisional diagnosis of dome-shaped Maculopathy with Posterior Staphyloma be foreseen, as it would prevent instilling intravitreal avastin/steroids.
