Abstract
Aim- To study 2-year visual outcomes in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) treated with anti-VEGF agents in a tertiary care hospital.
Materials and methods-: The medical records of 200 patients treated with ranibizumab due to DME between august 2020 to august 2022 were retro-spectively evaluated . Data collected were age, treatment history, BCVA at baseline, at follow up visits, morphological type of edema on OCT, Presence of VMT, stage of DR, number of anti-VEGF injection
Inclusion criteria-age>18 years
Diagnosis of DME
Availability of complete medical records
Follow up –periods of last 2 yrs
Exclusion criteria-
Incomplete ophthalmology data
Significant VMT
Macular scar
Previous Laser treatment
After inclusion & exclusion criteria,120 patients were included in the study. Statistics-MC-nemar test was used .P< 0.005(significant) Conclusion-Changes in CRT were significant over 2 years. The two-year visual outcomes were also significant.
