Abstract

Ocular Surface Analysis using an analyser helps in diagnosis of dry eye disorders. We analysed 100patients attending our OPD with persisting symptoms of dry eye. OSA showed a mixed type of dry eye with majority of patients exhibiting lipid layer deficiency. Age was not seen as a factor unlike published data. This data from Indian population can lead us to the conclusion that mixed type of dry eye is more common and lipid layer deficiency is more common. Unfortunately we don’t yet have a drug that helps in lipid layer deficiency.
