Abstract
Wilson’s Disease is uncommon but not a rare disease. The mortality rate is high. The life expectancy, if
untreated , is as low as one and a half years.
Cases go undetected because being uncommon. Physicians fail to suspect the disease and Wilson’s Disease advances.
Serum Copper and Serum Ceruloplasmin along with MRI brain gives you the clue.
There is deposition of free copper in different part of the body and cornea ( KF ring)
In our study we have found that the KF ring is a better confirmatory sign to diagnose Wilson’s Disease.
In our study we have also Graded the “KF” ring matching the severity of he disease. Our series of Wilson’s Disease suspect is of 84 cases.
