Abstract
A 45 year old female patient presented with complaints of diminution of left eye since 2 months associated with watering and redness. Patient had history of vesicles over skin of left lower and upper lids and left side of forehead 5 months back and redness in the same eye. Patient had taken treatment for viral keratitis 5 months back.
Patient is a known case of retroviral disease and is on treatment for the same since 1 and a half years.
On ocular examination, vision was hand movements and upper lids having crusts, entropion and trichiasis. The cornea showed central perforation with iris prolapse with surrounding stromal edema with decreased corneal sensations.
Patient was started on oral antivirals, lubricants, cyclopegics and antiglaucoma medications and planned for tectonic keratoplasty.
