Methodology:cross sectional study.86 patients with mild(n_24),moderate(n_25),or severe (n_17) glaucoma and 20 controls enrolled.Glaucoma severity was classified according to binocular visual field loss.A complete ophthalmological evaluation including BCVA, IOP, fundus examination,HFA 24-2 was done. The GQL-15 questionnaire has 4 domains of visual disability:(1)Central & near vision(2)Peripheral vision(3) dark adaptation and glare(4) outdoor mobility.
Results:Mean age was 58.50± 9.90.Mean GQL-15 score in mild, moderate & severe glaucoma was 22.67,32.76,53.12 respectively, increased with glaucoma severity.Individual gql-15 domain scores were higher in cases and was statistically significant. The domains maximum affected was dark adaptation(P value<0.001 in all domains). Conclusion:GQL 15 scores closely correlated with poor quality of life with increasing glaucoma severity.
