Abstract

Purpose-To report a case series(60 eyes-60 patients) of early OCT response 4 weeks following intravitreal brolucizumab(6mg/0.05ml) injection in treatment naïve wet AMD(15 patients) and switch over from other antiVEGF(45 patients on bevacizumab or ranibizumab) on PRN basis. 46 patients showed 2 line improvement in snellen chart 4 weeks following one injection, 10 patients showed 2 lines improvement after second injection. OCT showed resolved IRF, SRF, decreased height of PED in 52 patients 4 weeks after injection, and 6 out of 8 patients after second injection. On follow up, 2 patients had stable vision for 4 months and 1 patient for 6 months following first and third injection respectively

Result-Visual gain in 56/60 cases was due to rapid resolution of IRF,SRF and stability of vision for more than 2 months was seen

Conclusion-Intravitreal brolucizumab injection for wet AMD resulted in rapid resolution on OCT, stable vision and financial burden reduction due to long interval dosing
