Abstract
A 26 year old male presented with cystic lesion in the right upper eyelid for 3 years. Lesion was painless and gradually increased in size. On examination Best Corrected Visual Acuity was 6/6, N6 for both eyes. On local examination, the lesion was round, smooth, firm in consistency, non tender and freely mobile under the skin. Anterior and Posterior segments were within normal limits. The Patient underwent an excisional biopsy of cyst under local anaesthesia. Histopathological examination revealed well circumscribed tumor surrounded by a skeletal muscle bundle and eccrine gland. Intervening stroma showed chondromyxoid and hyaline change suggestive of Pleomorphic adenoma of the right upper eyelid. Pleomorphic adenoma is a rare neoplasm occurring in the adnexal glands of the eyelids.
