Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To describe a case of optic disc melanocytoma.
CASE REPORT: A 40year old male attended tertiary care for medical examination. His visual acuity was 6/6 in right eye and 6/9 in left eye. His vision got corrected with glasses and color vision was within normal limit. The right eye fundus showed a dark black color mass on the optic disc and the left eye shows normal appearance. The mass was confirmed with OCT findings.
CONCLUSION : Optic disc melanoma can go unnoticed in normal visual acuity patients. Fundoscopy and OCT pictures helps in differentiating the disease and for further follow up to look for any malignant transformation.
